10K white gold ring with created blue star sapphire. The asterism phenomenon has always inspired me because it takes a skilled cutter to see the flaws in a stone and instead of cutting them away, he manipulates them to form a star. Although this is a created sapphire, it has exceptional color and the star shines bold in the sunlight. When I saw it in a back alley antique store, I had to buy it!
